Staged for both serious runners and casual walkers,
the 5 mile neighborhood event was held April 7, 2012
on a new, certified loop course along the Richland
Creek Greenway. A half mile kids
fun run was held pre-race with remarks kicked off at
8:00 a.m. by co-chairs Councilman Jason Holleman and
Megan Turner. Mayor Karl Dean encouraged
participants and spoke of continued efforts to bring
good health to Nashville, then
started the race siren. Door prizes and awards were held
for a record crowd post race in the Cohn School auditorium.
